This is a non-invasive and non-painful test that uses the electrical potential of acupuncture points on the body to help assess food sensitivities, relative nutrient imbalances, subclinical organ imbalances, and microbiome health.
I use this type of testing with most people. I do so because it is a cost effective test that I can derive helpful information from quickly, especially when people are not feeling well and conventional medical tests like bloodwork and radiology reports are “normal”. Normal bloodwork and radiology reports mean that there is no active disease process occurring. It does not mean that health is optimal and vibrant.
With children, I most often use this type of testing for helping determine food sensitivities rather than doing blood testing. However, there are times even in children, that food blood testing is preferable.
I have found this particular test from Meridian Valley to correlate well with electrodermal screening. However, the cost for this type of food sensistivity testing is much higher. I have used Meridian Valley in Washington state for over 3 decades because I trust the accuracy of the information.

For optimal and vibrant health and the prevention of disease, I follow the normal range values as set by the rest of Canada and the US. I do not follow the new reduced range values recently set by the BC provincial government.
